Audit of Accounts 2008/09
The council's accounts are available for inspection from Monday 29 June.
NOTICE is given, in accordance with the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2003, that the External Auditor has appointed MONDAY 27 JULY 2009, from 10.00 a.m. onwards at the TOWN HALL, LANCASTER, as the date on which all Local Government Electors for the City Council of Lancaster may exercise their rights under sections 15 and 16 of the Audit Commission Act 1998, to question the Auditor about or to make objections to the Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2009. With regard to the making of objections, the Auditor must have previously received written notice of the objection and the grounds on which it is to be made, with a copy of such notice being sent to the City Council.
The Accounts will be made available for public inspection at the Financial Services Office, Town Hall, Lancaster, from MONDAY 29 JUNE 2009 to FRIDAY 24 JULY 2009, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4 p.m. They will also be available on the Council’s website (lancaster.gov.uk).
The Auditors responsible for the Audit will be KPMG LLP, who are based at St James’ Square, Manchester, M2 6DS.
