Council continues to put customers first

Customer Service Centre - Lancaster Town Hall
Licensing, planning and building control enquiries are now dealt with at Lancaster Town Hall.
Customers visiting Lancaster City Council's customer service centres will now benefit from a wider range of services under one roof.
All enquiries relating to licensing, planning and building control which were normally dealt with at Palatine Hall, Lancaster have transferred to the council’s purpose-built customer service centre at Lancaster Town Hall.
These services will also be available at the Customer Service Centre at Morecambe Town Hall in due course.
The council is making the change as part of its commitment to improving services to the public.
In addition to providing more comfortable and efficient surroundings, the move also allows customers the option of paying for planning and licensing transactions by credit or debit card.
Mark Cullinan, Lancaster City Council’s chief executive said: “One of Lancaster City Council's key priorities is to ensure that the services we provide are provided in a way that suits our customers.
“This further integration of council services into our customer service centres is a clear demonstration of our continuing commitment to improving access to our services.”
The entrance to the customer service centre is located at the Memorial Gardens side of Lancaster Town Hall and is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Telephone numbers for licensing, planning and building regulation enquiries remain the same.
