How fast are you on a bike?
If you’re a cycle race enthusiast then the ‘Day of Cycling’ taking place this Sunday at Lancaster City Council’s Salt Ayre Sports Centre, might be right up your street.
The full day event, which starts at 10.30am, will see a number of races from a range of age groups, all contending for the 1st place spot.
Participants wishing to register to compete in the races must be British Cycling licence holders. Sign-on opens for all events at 10.15am. However, you can also register your interest ahead of the event by contacting Nev Pearson telephone 07963 138520 or by email to npearson13@yahoo.co.uk
For all those wanting to ‘come and try it’ whatever the ability, Lancaster City Council’s Cycling Demonstration Town (CDT) Team are inviting everyone to come along at 12.45pm to take part in a one lap time trial (1.3km).
All time trial riders must register with the CDT Team either in advance by emailing celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk or on the day at the CDT stall.
