Twenty competitors will line-up at Salt Ayre Sports Centre later this month to battle it out for the honour of being crowned northern England’s strongest man at under 105kg.
The sports centre is holding the northern heat of England’s Strongest Man Under 105kg (16 and a half stone) competition on Sunday March 15 between 11.30am and 5pm.
Amongst those taking part will be Joseph Gorton from Lupton in Cumbria.
At 21 he will be the youngest competitor taking part and will battle it out across five gruelling events including the 300kg super yoke carry, steel log lift, axle deadlift, farmers walk and atlas stones.
Spectators are welcome to watch for free, but there will be a collection for Cancer Care and any donations will be warmly received.
So head down to Salt Ayre to cheer on the strongmen and see who will be crowned Northern England’s Strongest Man U105kg.
