Women guided bike ride to Glasson Dock
Enjoy a gentle easy ride along the Lune Estuary path to Glasson Dock.
Lancaster City Council’s programme of guided cycle rides for women continues this Sunday (April 5), with a gentle easy ride along the Lune Estuary path to Glasson Dock.
The aim of the rides, which take place on the first Sunday of each month until October, are to encourage women who might not have the confidence they need to cycle on their own to get out and about with other like minded ladies.
This Sunday’s ride takes cyclists on a flat, 12 mile route along the shores of the River Lune. After enjoying a refreshing cup of tea in Glasson Dock, cyclists will return back to Lancaster.
All rides kick off at 11am from the south end of Lancaster’s Millennium Bridge.
No need to book – just turn up!
For more information on the rides call Rachel Scott on 01524 582392, email celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk or visit www.celebratingcyling.org.
