Celebrate Lancashire with Lancaster City Council
LANCASTER City Council will celebrate all things Lancashire later this month by giving away Red Rose fridge magnets.
November 27 is Lancashire Day and Lancaster Visitor Information Centre (VIC) and Morecambe Visitor Information Centre (VIC) will be open all day for people to pop along and pick up lots of information about the county.
Both centres will be having a free prize draw to win a 'Made In Lancashire' goodie bag. This delicious selection of local produce includes Grandma Entwistle’s Lancashire Sauce, Bowland spring water, Mawson’s Dandelion and Burdock, a selection of locally produced jams and chutneys, Lancashire tea and a Lancashire mug, and a selection of traditionally made farmhouse biscuits.
When you pop into Lancaster VIC why not stay for lunch in the new NICE café/ bar where Lancashire Hotpot (with a free cup of tea) will be served from 11am onwards. The café/bar will also be serving a Lancashire cheseboard and a selection of Lancashire cakes.
The centres will also be giving away free Lancashire Red Rose fridge magnets – there are limited supplies so get there early.
