Top Irish comedian Sean Hughes to perform at The Platform in 2010
SEAN Hughes, the youngest comic ever to win the Perrier Award for his Edinburgh Fringe debut in 1990, will perform his brand new show ‘What I Meant To Say Was…’ at The Platform on Friday March 12 2010.
This new show is bursting at the seams with Sean’s darkly brilliant, self deprecating barbed wit that has kept him at the top of his game since his early success. The star of ITV’s ‘The Last Detective’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ on BBC and ‘Sean’s Show’ on Channel 4, his dark explosive style and quick-fire audience banter have made his a household name that is not to be missed.
The show will star at 8pm and tickets are on sale now priced at £15. Call the box office on 01524 582803.
The Platform and Dome Spring 2010 brochure will be out early in the New Year. Other shows to look out for are Joe Longthorne, Donnie Munro, Sylvia Anderson of ‘Thunderbirds’ fame in conversation with David Courtney, Mark Beaumont, the Man Who Cycled the World, Acker Bilk and his Paramount Jazzmen, Les McEwan’s Bay City Rollers and the return of Ruby Turner.
Call the box office now if you are not already on the mailing list or visit www.lancaster.gov.uk/platformanddome.
