Classic 'Legends of Rock' tour 2009 comes to Morecambe

Christmas comes early for rock fans as three bands playing their part in the history of rock perform on the same night at the Morecambe Dome.

The show on Wednesday November 4 opens with an intimate acoustic set from The Strawbs. This replaces the previously advertised Groundhogs appearance which cannot now take place due to Tony McPhee unfortunately suffering a stroke. The Acoustic Strawbs line up will consist of Dave Cousins, Dave Lambert and Chas Cronk, the front line of the classic 1970s most successful British folk rock band.

After the first interval comes Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash. Martin Turner was the founder member, lead vocalist, bassist and creative force of the original Wishbone Ash line up and will perform such standards as ‘Blowin Free’, ‘Argus’ and many more.

This memorable evening will come to a close with Dutch progressive rock band Focus who manifested themselves at the start of the 70s as the most successful and most appreciated of all the Dutch Rock exports. Expect to hear all the hits such as ‘Hocus Pocus’, ‘Sylvia’, ‘House of the King’ and many more.

Don’t miss this amazing triple bill! The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £20 advance, £22 on the door.
