Oli Brown's blues band to play at the Morecambe Dome

Amazing young Blues guitarist Oli Brown will be in concert at the Morecambe Dome with his band on Thursday October 29.

In a relatively short time of performing Oli Brown has toured in the UK, Europe and the Mid West and has opened for a who’s who of the Blues world including Buddy Guy, Walter Trout, Koko Taylor, Taj Mahal and Delbert McClinton to name but a few.

At every gig Oli plays the audience are mesmerised by the sheer professionalism of his performance and the contagious pleasure he exudes. His take on Blues with a mix of Funk, Jazz and Rock gives him an extra individuality.

In 2008 the Oli Brown Band was the only UK act to be selected to perform at the 24th International Blues Convention in Memphis Tennessee. Whilst in Memphis, John Fry, the owner of Ardent Studios, invited Oli to record a couple of tracks and then asked Oli to perform a gig in the studio for their Ardent Session. The session received 1.4 million hits within three weeks.

June 2008 saw Oli’s debut CD ‘Open Road’ released in the UK. The album received rave reviews from Mojo, Uncut, Guitarist, Classic Rock etc. The album was later released in Europe and received equally glowing reviews.

During 2009 Vanquish Guitars presented Oli with the first Oli Brown Signature guitar (which is now being marketed by them) and the band has been gigging extensively in Europe including London shows at the 100 Club and the prestigious Jazz Café.

The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10 from the box office on 01524 582803.
