Then why not join local birders on a bird watching cycle tour of the Lune Estuary and surrounding farmland this Sunday (27 September).
Join the council’s Cycling Demonstration Town Team for a chance to get some gentle exercise and see and hear departing swallows, lingering passage Warblers and Waders including Green Sandpiper.
September is also a great time of year to see ducks such as Wigeon and Teal in this area.
Riders should meet at the Millennium Bridge (Lancaster end) at 11am.
Everyone is welcome to ride along free of charge. All you need is a road-worthy bike and a pair of binoculars.
