Bowland by bike

Enjoy a challenging Sunday bike ride for like-minded ladies around Bowland with Lancaster City Council’s Cycling Demonstration Town team.

The Women on Wheels (WoW) programme of bike rides continues on Sunday 2 May with this challenging 20 mile ride around scenic countryside.

The aim of the rides is to encourage women who might not have the confidence they need to cycle on their own, to get out and about with other like minded ladies, so why not encourage friends and family members to come along with you.

The meeting place is at the Millennium Bridge in Lancaster at 11am. If you don’t have your own bike, then you can hire one, but please contact the team in advance to arrange on 582392 or email celebratingcycling@lancaster.gov.uk

If you are feeling inspired to take part, there is a WoW ride on the first Sunday of every month until December. Following routes included in the Cycling for All Guide, these interesting and relaxing rides are free of charge and suitable for varying levels of ability, so check the website www.celebratingcycling.org/wow or call 01524 582392 for details.
