Gerry Cross the Mersey - an evening with Gerry and the Pacemakers at The Platform

Gerry Marsden will be coming to The Platform in Morecambe on Friday April 23
A UNIQUE journey of music, song and chat reliving the swinging sixties comes to The Platform in Morecambe on Friday April 23, with Gerry Marsden and the new Pacemakers.
Gerry Marsden's career has spanned four decades, beginning in the sixties when, with his group, The Pacemakers, he topped the charts with hits such as 'How Do You Do It' and 'I Like It'. In later years, Gerry starred in West End musicals such as 'Charlie Girl' and 'Pull Both Ends' in which he appeared with Anna Neagle and Derek Nimmo.
From a streetwise boyhood, Gerry Marsden's story is one of grit, warmth, humour and determination. He is a consummate showman, an artist with enormous confidence and unique spirit. Despite this, he remains a down to earth man with a wicked sense of humour. Gerry will talk about his early beginnings in Liverpool, the heady days of the sixties and up to the present. Hear all the hits mixed with stories, jokes and anecdotes from his years at the top.
Join Gerry for 'Gerry Across the Mersey', an evening of reminiscence about his long career, when fans will have a chance to meet him personally and ask their own questions. This is a roller coaster ride of fun, nostalgia and music not to be missed.
The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets cost £15 from the box office on 01524 582803.
