Could your voluntary group use a cash windfall?

Voluntary groups across the Lancaster district are invited to apply for funding from Lancaster City Council's welfare grant scheme.

The city council has money available now and is asking for bids to allocate the welfare grant budget.

Welfare grants are for voluntary organisations whose activities include providing recreation, meals and special events for older people. The maximum grant to any one organisation is £500.

Application forms, further information, and the criteria applied to the scheme are available by telephoning 01524 582096, from Morecambe and Lancaster Town Halls, and on the city council’s website: www.lancaster.gov.uk/welfaregrants

The closing date for applications is 30 November 2010.
