BMX bikers, skateboarders and roller skaters had lots of fun recently when Lancaster City Council brought a mobile skate park to two of its parks.
The outdoor mobile skate park visited Happy Mount Park and Williamson Park last week much to the delight of hundreds of local young people.
There were a variety of mini ramps and rails available throughout the day which was organised as part of Lancaster City Council’s free ‘Playschemes’ programme.
The summer Playschemes programme has provided hundreds of children around the district with free activities throughout the holidays. The aim is to provide fun and enjoyment by taking part in sports, games, arts and crafts, and trips out.
The Playschemes are aimed at children aged 8 to 11 years and are based in community venues, including village halls, schools and community centres. The summer programme ends this Friday 27 August.
