Arkholme Primary School children receive Young Leaders Award
Pupils from Arkholme Primary receive their UK Young Leaders Award certificates.
THIRTEEN children from Arkholme Primary School recently completed a Young Leaders Award delivered by Lancaster City Council
The course, approved by Sports Leaders UK, is run over six hours and is designed to help young children aged 9 to 13 to deliver structured activities and games to younger children within their school.
The children who passed the award now have the opportunity to implement their new found skills by organising, planning and delivering games and activities for the younger children at Arkholme in years 1, 2 and 3.
These games and activities help the lunch time assistants to deliver safe, fun and active sessions and encourages the younger children to participate in a more structured activity during their lunch break.
All the children that completed the award received a Sports Leaders UK Young Leaders Award certificate.
