THE North West Film Archive join with Morecambe Bay Movie Makers to celebrate their 40th anniversary of film making in Morecambe at the Dome on Thursday February 4.

Come and enjoy films including the earliest known film of Morecambe in 1901, football at Christie Park and the opening of the new baths in 1935, Morecambe seafront, Heysham Head in the 1930s, opening of the Central Pier in 1930, Pontin's Holiday Camp and Marineland in 1968, the visit of HM the Queen in 1955 and unveiling the Eric Morecambe statue in 1999 and much more.

The unique and unseen footage will be shown with an authentic piano accompaniment. The show will be presented by local heritage film director Chris Abram.

The show will start at 7.30pm and tickets cost £4 advance or £5 on the door.

Advance tickets are available from the box office on 01524 582803 or the visitor information centres in Lancaster and Morecambe.
