The Armed Forces Day flag flying over Lancaster Town Hall

The council is showing support for the armed forces in the run up to Armed Forces Day, Saturday 26 June.

Lancaster City Council is showing support for the Armed Forces by flying the Armed Forces Day flag at both Lancaster and Morecambe Town Halls.

Along with all local authorities in the country the flags were hoisted on Monday 21 June at 10.30am.

The flags will remain flying until Armed Forces Day on Saturday, 26 June 2010.

The Mayor said: “We will fly these flags with pride and will take the time on 26 June to be grateful for everyone who has, is and will serve in our armed forces.”
