Go By Bike 2010
LANCASTER City Council has launched its Rides and Events guide for 2010 to tempt residents and visitors into making the most of our district by bike.
The highlights inside the Lancaster and Morecambe Cycling and Events Guide 2010 this year include: The 5th Bike Film Festival, Celebrating Cycling in the City, Family Pedal Power in aid of Marie Curie CancerCare, Way of the Roses - Morecambe to Settle ride, plus details of regular rides (Women on Wheels and Twenty Club), local Sportives and Challenge rides and lots more.
This year's guide also includes a variety of discounts on treats the family can enjoy whilst out and about on their bikes ranging from refreshments and entertainment to clothing, bike hire and cycling equipment.
Come along to events featured in the guide and you will receive a free water bottle. Pick up a brochure to find out which rides qualify.
Guides are available, free of charge, from Lancaster and Morecambe Visitor Information Centres, the council's customer service centres at Lancaster and Morecambe Town Halls and local libraries. Copies can also be downloaded from the cycling website www.celebratingcycling.org by clicking on the ‘What’s on’ page.
