More power to your pedals

IF you’re a regular cyclist, you might already know all the tricks to keeping your bike in tip-top condition but if you’ve just started out and need to know the secrets to a healthy bike then Lancaster City Council’s Cycling Demonstration Town (CDT) team might have the answer.

Every month Pedal Power is holding free maintenance classes to help you get the most out of your bike.

The next course takes place on Saturday 27th March and is for women only. The course covers basic maintenance including basic rebuilding, fitting brake & gear wires, indexing and straightening buckles.

Courses start at 10am at Pedal Power HQ, Ridge Square and last around 2 1/2 hours. For bookings or queries regarding courses please contact Pedal Power on 01524 65328

If you are interested in finding out more about cycling contact the CDT team on 01524 582392/582616 to find out more or visit the council’s cycling website www.celebratingcycling.org/training
