Candidates announced for Harbour ward by-election
Nominations for the Harbour ward by-election closed at noon on Friday (September 10).
Lancaster City Council has received the following nominations for the by-election, which will take place on October 7:
Ian Clift (Liberal Democrats)
Elliot Layfield (Conservative Party)
Fred McGlade (UK Independence Party)
Geoff Walker (Morecambe Bay Independents)
The vacancy has arisen following the sad death of Coun John Barnes.
New applications to vote by post must be made by 5pm on September 22 to vote in the election. For details of how to apply for a postal vote contact the elections office on 01524 582905.
