Edwardian market comes to town

Following the success of last year’s event, which attracted hundreds of visitors to the city, Lancaster will once again host an Edwardian festival and market.

It will be held over two days, Saturday and Sunday September 25 and 26, and promises to be fun for all the family.

Market traders (both indoor and outdoor) will be wearing clothes in the Edwardian style and it is hoped that members of the public will also come dressed up for the occasion, as they did last year.

Jerry North, Centre Manager for St Nicholas Arcades, said: “What impressed me last year was the number of members of the general public who’d taken the trouble to join in the spirit and were wearing some very authentic looking outfits."
