Be a junior zookeeper at Williamson Park
Budding junior zoologists are being given the opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how staff at Williamson Park look after its mini zoo and butterfly house.
Lancaster City Council is offering a unique three week junior zoo keeper course for children aged eight to 14 years old, The course is perfect for those who are interested in learning more about animals and provides an insight into the work involved in running a small zoo.
Sessions start at 10am and last for an hour on either a Saturday or a Sunday.
The junior zoo keepers will get involved in feeding the animals and will learn how to safely handle them. They will learn some fantastic facts about the animals as well as having great fun with the team from Williamson Park.
The next two courses start on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July and cost £22.
