If you’re looking to recharge or rejuvenate, Tranquil Spa provides the perfect haven to wind down and relax.
The spa experience includes a thermal journey through a range of chambers including a salt inhalation room, aroma steam room, herbal sauna, ice chute and a watermill sauna, the first of its kind in the UK.
In addition, a range of therapeutic face and body care treatments are available, such as facials, massage and scrubs. Customers can also book an appointment at the nail bar, which offers treatments from Jessica – the world’s number one natural nail care system.
The opening of the spa signifies the completion of a £5M development project at Salt Ayre Leisure Centre which began back in March 2016.
Over the past 19 months, the centre has been transformed with new and exciting facilities including Energy indoor soft play, Xheight indoor climbing, and a revamped 100 station gym and fitness suite.
Coun Darren Clifford, Cabinet member with responsibility for leisure, culture and tourism, said: "The opening of Tranquil Spa marks another milestone in our vision of creating a leisure destination that has something for the entire community to come along and enjoy.
“We’ve already seeing the clear rewards of our £5million investment in the centre with a 72 per cent increase in customer visits. The new spa perfectly complements the other new facilities that have done so much to breathe new life into Salt Ayre.”
In addition to Tranquil Spa, the newly built facility houses the Feel Good Suite which contains specialist Shapemaster low impact equipment to help those who are less mobile, suffer from obesity or illness, or are undergoing post-operative rehabilitation.
There's also the Hub, a multifunctional space available for private hire and equipped with top of the range technology ideal for business events.
To celebrate the opening of Tranquil Spa, customers are able to take advantage of 25% off all treatments – including Elemis facials, body massage, manicures & pedicures, waxing and spray tanning until 31st October 2017. To book call 01524 582916 or visit the Tranquil Spa webpage.
