Pay online

Important message for all card users

Changes to online payments

In April 2013 we introduced an extra level of cardholder security to our online payments system. To make a payment you must have registered your payment card with either:

Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCard have been developed by card providers and banks to help protect your card against unauthorised use.

Please note that if you do not register your card, you will not be able to make an online card payment with us.


Make a payment

  • Go to online payments
  • Alternatively use our automated telephone payment service by calling 0845 601 7297.

What can I pay for online?

You can pay your council tax, non-domestic rates, BID levy, debtor invoices, housing benefit debts, and housing rents.

How do I make a payment?

On the payments page, select your payment from the Payment Type options

For each type of payment, you will need the relevant reference number. For instance, for council tax payments you will need your 9-digit reference number which starts with an 8.

What payment cards do you accept?

We accept the following card types:

  • Visa
  • Delta
  • JCB
  • Maestro/Switch
  • Mastercard
  • Solo
