Responsible for food hygiene, health and safety at work, nuisance, air quality, cemeteries, noise control, contaminated land, pest control and the dog warden service.
Environmental Health delivers a comprehensive range of strategic and responsive services for protecting peoples health and the environment.
Most of our work derives from the Council’s statutory duties for inspection and enforcement of legal requirements.
We also provide environmental monitoring, educational programmes, advisory services and information.
