We would like to say a big thank you to all the people who took the time to submit a response to the Combined Scoping Document Consultation and also to those that joined us for the drop in sessions at the various venues. We had a great response to the consultation and it was really good to get your views, opinions and ideas. We are now going to be looking further into your responses and planning the next stage of the process so please watch this space for more information on where we are and how you can get involved.
Following adoption of the Core Strategy in July 2008 Lancaster City Council is now looking to progress preparation of the next phase of the Local Development Framework. This will include preparation of the Land Allocations Development Plan Document and the Development Management Development Plan Document.
To support this work the city council has commissioned Hyder Consultants to review the Sustainability Appraisal framework. A draft Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report is now available for consultation via the related page link to the right of this page. In addition to these documents we are also looking to progress preparation of an Area Action Plan for central Morecambe.
LDF Consultation Database
Lancaster City Council has an LDF consultation database. This includes a list of those residents and stakeholders who have either expressed an interest in being involved in the development of planning policy or have been identified by the council as being potentially important contributors to the development of planning policy.

We will then be able to notify you of opportunities to participate in the development of Lancaster's local development framework.
