Local Development Framework (LDF)

Following the introduction of major changes to the Development Plan system in 2004 Lancaster City Council is preparing a Local Development Framework (LDF).    The LDF is made up of a bundle of documents that will eventually replace the adopted Lancaster District Local Plan as the local element of the Development Plan.

LDF Consultation Database

Lancaster City Council has an LDF consultation database. This includes a list of those residents and stakeholders who have either expressed an interest in being involved in the development of planning policy or have been identified by the Council as being potentially important contributors to the development of planning policy.

If you would like to be added to this database or have your current details updated please e-mail forwardplanning@lancaster.gov.uk or call Michelle Burrough on 01524 582383. We will then be able to notify you of opportunities to participate in the development of Lancaster's Local Development Framework.
