Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA)
The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) was undertaken between May 2008 and March 2009 as advised by Planning Policy Statement 3 'Housing' (PPS3). Atkins Limited in Association with Lambert Smith Hampton were commissioned by Lancaster City Council in order to assist in undertaking the SHLAA during this time.
The related pages and documents here both describe the methodolgy undertaken from the initial 'Call For Sites' to the final publication of the results and display them. The SHLAA is now complete and forms part of the evidence base for the Local Development Framework.
