Further Information

This information is intended to provide a broad outline of the planning requirements for domestic installation of wind turbines and solar panels.

Further information on the various home energy generation technologies is available on the Planning Portal

If you are unsure as to whether you would require planning permission for an installation on your property, it is reccomended that you complete our Householder Questionnaire and return it to the council.  A member of the Planning Advice Team will write to you and advise whether or not permission is required.
