Schedule of Fees
From the 1st of October 2010 there will be new charges for the Building Control Service to comply with new legislation.
The new legislation allows for increased flexibility for the Local Authority when setting their charges, whilst ensuring that charges reflect the amount of Building Control input into a project and the costs of providing the service.
From 4th January 2011 VAT will be payable at 20%
New Standard Charges
Standard charges have been set for the following:
- New dwellings - for developments of up to 10 dwellings (Click to Download)
- Domestic works, including extensions, loft conversions, garages, windows, conversions of garages into habitable rooms, alterations to basements, and other internal or structural alterations (Click to Download)
- Non domestic works, including new buildings, extensions, shop and office fit outs, installation of mezzanine floors, windows, and renovation of thermal elements (Click to Download)
For any works falling outside of the standard charges, an individual assessment will be made by Building Control staff and a quote provided for the Building Control service.
