Diversion of part of footpath Lancaster 55 and stopping up of an unercorded footpath

Public path diversion and stopping up order

Footpath number 55 in Lancaster is proposed to be diverted for a short section of its length and a short length of unrecorded public footpath to be stopped up between Scotforth Road and Oakwood Gardens to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 namely: Planning Permission 17/00073/FUL for the development of residential housing situated on land adjacent to Aikengill Scotforth Road Lancaster Lancashire LA1 4NU.

It is necessary for the local authority to give notice of the Order by publishing a notice in a local newspaper (Lancaster Guardian), displaying a notice on site (two notices have been posted along sections of the diversion) and notifying specified persons and bodies.

A copy of the Order and the Order Map are available on this page and may be seen free of charge at at Lancaster and Morecambe Town Halls. If you wish to make representations about this proposed footpath diversion please do so in writing, citing grounds to uphold your opinion. The representations will need to be addressed to the Head of Legal Services, Lancaster City Council, Dalton Square, Lancaster, LA1 1PJ, and received before 4pm on Monday 25 November 2019.
