The Planning and Housing Policy Team prepares Local Development Framework documents, housing policy, provides advice on listed buildings and conservation areas and implements regeneration projects. The team is based in Morecambe Town Hall.

Meeting Housing Needs in the District
In February 2012 the council started preparation of a Meeting Housing Needs Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). This document will provide greater detail on Policy SC4 of the Lancaster District Core Strategy in terms of how the council will help meet the district's housing requirements.

Development Management DPD and Land Allocations DPD
The council consulted on its draft Development Management Development Plan Document (DPD) and the draft Land Allocations DPD in the Summer of 2011. Please follow this link to the Consultations page to find out more.
The draft Preferred Options for these DPD's is now being prepared and will be out for consultation some time in the Spring. Please follow links to the Local Development Framework pages to the left for more details.
