Development Management DPD

Thematic workshops
The adopted Development Management Development Plan Document (DPD) will set out the criteria against which most routine planning applications will be determined including;
• Detailed policies on the design and location of new development;
• Specific policies relating to development in rural areas;
• Policies relating to advertisements, shop fronts and minor development;
Policies which relate to particular sites or allocate particular sites for particular uses will be contained in the Land Allocations document, which can be viewed through the Council's consultation portal. The Development Management DPD will not repeat advice contained in national and regional planning policies, it will provide guidance relevant to the local conditions and circumstances of the district.
