Procurement with Small and Medium Sized Enterprises.

Lancaster City Council recognises the important contribution that local businesses can make to the delivery of public services and their impact on the national an local economy. The Council is keen to promote business opportunities for all businesses in the locality, particularly small and medium sized enterprises (SME's), and has published this Concordat, following consultation with the local Chambers of Commerce, to facilitate effective trade between the Council and SME's. This concordat with SME's supplements the 'How to do Business with the Council' guide, first published in November 2004, and meets a specific milestone of the National Procurement Strategy (NPS) for Local Government.
