A number of Services within the City Council are involved in the regeneration of the District, working alongside other key stakeholders, including the Local Strategic Partnership, the Youth & Community Service and local community groups.

The Vision Board is a group of senior individuals representing a cross-section of economic and public interests across Lancaster District. It has been established to develop a coherent and ambitious economic vision for what the area is capable of becoming, drawing upon our unique strengths and characteristics.

Public Art

Public art is not an art form, but a principle of improving the changing environment through the arts, placing art work in areas other than conventional arts venues. There are numerous examples of public art in Lancaster District, from the Queen Victoria monument in Dalton Square to contemporary commissions such as the TERN project in Morecambe.
