Fire building session

Our Sport and Play Officers provide exciting and fun events for young people and their families within the district’s parks, open spaces and Morecambe Promenade. Our events are open to all and take place throughout the year.

Watch out for us at your local park or at an open space near you.

We provide the following activities

  • Informal play activities
  • Sports activities
  • School educational packages
  • Events within parks, open spaces and the promenade
  • Children’s holiday activities
  • Junior ranger workshops that include bird spotting, tree identification, bat walks, nature trails and many more.

Latest news

Join us at Happy Mount Park for our annual open floodlit bowling competition. The competition is open to all bowling pairs and will run over three evenings in February.
Initial heats will take place on 13 February and 20 February with the final taking place on 27 February.

•To enter the competition, please download an entry form
• Final date for entry is Wednesday 8 February
• Cash prize for winner of the competition.
