The park features the imposing Ashton Memorial, Edwardian Butterfly House, and the Pavilion Cafe with free wi-fi access for customers. Entry to the park grounds is free. Well behaved dogs are very welcome, but please keep them under control at all times and on a lead. Dogs are welcome in the café and shop but not in the Butterfly House, mini beast cave, aviary or the Ashton Memorial.

The Butterfly House is closed for repair works until January 2016. The Mini Beast Cave, animal garden and aviary are still open for a reduced entry price of £1 per person.

The park regularly hosts concerts, plays, courses and children's activities - see our what's on section for current and forthcoming events. Christmas Carol Concerts in the Ashton Memorial are now on sale. We also host weddings and children's birthday parties.
