Junior Zoo Keeper Course
The Junior Zoo Keeper course offers a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and see how Williamson Park’s mini zoo and butterfly house run. They will experience feeding the animals and how to safely handle them. They will learn some fantastic facts about the animals as well as having great fun with the team from the park.
There are two three week courses starting in April on Saturdays and Sundays aimed at children aged eight to 14 years. The courses start at 10am and last for an hour and cost £21 for the full three week course. To book a place please telephone Williamson Park on 01524 33318.

Witch Hunts - Then and Now
Global Link and Stepping Stone's Nigeria present an exhibition where participants listen to a 15 minute soundtrack of voices from 1612 Lancashire and 2012 Nigeria, as they walk through a Lancaster ‘courtroom’ and a Nigerian ‘prayerhouse’. The soundtrack tells parts of the story of the trial at Lancaster Castle undergone by the Pendle Witches, as well as the ‘trial’ by the community undergone by a Nigerian child, wrongfully accused of witchcraft. The soundtrack and the third room in the exhibition invites the participants to consider the legacy of the Pendle Witches, and how this relates to our own lives. The exhibition is for adults and young people over the age of 11.
