Orienteering

Exercise your body and mind on our orienteering course
Williamson Park has a Permanent Orienteering Course (POC) in the form of marked wooden posts positioned around the park.
Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport that exercises the mind and body. The aim is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time.
There are no age or ability restrictions – you can walk, jog or run the course at your own pace.
The course can be completed individually or as a family or group.
Anyone interested in participating in orienteering at Williamson Park can book in at the shop.
The cost is £5 per group (maximum of 10 people per group) and maps cost £2.50 each.
