Sustainable Living

Find out how to live sustainably and tackle climate change in Lancaster district.

What does sustainable living mean?

Sustainability is like a three-legged stool. Our economy, environment and social well being each represent one leg of this stool and they are all connected and interdependent. Without one of its three legs, the stool will topple over.

To live sustainably we must protect and enhance our environment because a damaged environment will sooner or later hold back economic development and affect everyone’s quality of life.
