Public ArtPublic art is not an art form, but a principle of improving the changing environment through the arts, placing art work in areas other than conventional arts venues. There are numerous examples of public art in Lancaster District, from the Queen Victoria monument in Dalton Square to contemporary commissions such as the TERN project in Morecambe. 02 July 2008 Advocating the ArtsLancaster City Council performs a strategic role in advocating the arts for the district. The wealth of talent, skills and entrepreneurship in the creative sector is the fourth most concentrated in the Northwest, behind Liverpool, Manchester and Preston. 01 July 2008 ContactFor more information please contact us.
