Household Waste and Recycling
We provide a fortnightly collection of household waste from wheeled bins and recycling boxes for all houses in the Lancaster district.
When are my bins and recycling boxes collected?

How do I report a missed bin?
Please do not report a bin as 'missed' until 24 hours after it was due to be collected. After 24 hours, please call customer services on 01524 582491 or use our online reporting form.

What if my bin breaks?
We have spare parts - you can order new lids, pins and wheels for your bins. Call customer services on 01524 582491 or use our online reporting form.

Bulky Waste Removal
We will collect unwanted bulky items from your home for a small fee.
To arrange a collection, call customer services on 01524 582491.
Removal costs £18 for up to 3 items. Each additional item costs £6.
Any household in receipt of either council tax or
housing benefit is eligible for a 50% discount on collections.

Street Cleaning
We aim to provide and maintain a clean and litter-free environment throughout the district.
- We clean all main shopping roads daily
- We clean areas with litter problems once each day Monday to Friday
- We clean residential roads on a scheduled basis
