Join one of our guides and embark on an illuminating tour. Inside you’ll discover the mayor’s official parlour, the council chamber and the impressive Ashton Hall, before being ‘sent down’ from the old courtrooms into the atmospheric subterranean police cells. Along the way, uncover gems including the Olympic torch, Gillow’s centrifugal table, and the Ashton Hall’s grand concert organ.
For 2018 we are pleased to introduce our new Afternoon Tea Tours. On 21 June and 8 August, join us after the tour and partake of a special English Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, cakes and either a cup of tea, coffee, glass of Prosecco or Lancaster beer.
