There are three grant schemes available to businesses that have been closed or severely impacted by the Tier 2 (LCAL High)/Tier 3 (LCAL Very High)/Tier 4, National Sector Closure or National Lockdown Restrictions, and an additional scheme specifically for wet-led pubs.
The lump sum payments for businesses required to close during the current lockdown will be automatically generated to businesses that have been forced to close and have made a successful application to Grant 1.
- Businesses with a Rateable Value that have been forced to close
- Businesses with a Rateable Value that have been financially severely impacted
- Businesses without a Rateable Value that have been either closed or severely impacted
- Christmas Support Payment for wet-led pubs
A business that has been unable to provide its usual in-person customer service from its premises e.g. a restaurant that has had to close its substantive business, but is providing a takeaway service, is deemed to be closed.
These grants are funded through the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed), Local Restrictions Support Grant (Sector), Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum and Additional Restrictions Grant schemes.
Following continued restrictions beyond 2 December 2020 further payments due will be automatically generated for the majority of businesses still forced to close or severely impacted by restrictions. By accepting the grant all businesses will be deemed to have declared themselves still eligible to receive it. If further information is required we will be in touch with individual businesses.
