The information on this page is based on current government guidance and may be subject to change or further refinement

There are now three grant application forms available to businesses that have been closed or severely impacted by the Tier 2 (LCAL High)/Tier 3 (LCAL Very High), National Sector Closure or National Lockdown Restrictions.

Use the flowchart above to help you decide which grant (or grants) you should apply for. Each grant has specific eligibility criteria - please check these carefully before applying.

  1. Businesses with a Rateable Value that have been forced to close
  2. Businesses with a Rateable Value that have been financially severely impacted
  3. Businesses without a Rateable Value that have been either closed or severely impacted

A business that has been unable to provide its usual in-person customer service from its premises e.g. a restaurant that has had to close its substantive business, but is providing a takeaway service, is deemed to be closed.

These grants are funded through the Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed), Local Restrictions Support Grant (Sector), Local Restrictions Support Grant (Closed) Addendum and Additional Restrictions Grant schemes.

Payments

We aim to pay successful applications within five working days upon receipt of a valid application.

If restrictions continue beyond 2 December 2020 then any further payments due will be automatically generated for all businesses still forced to close or severely impacted by the additional restrictions.
