These grants are intended to help public-facing businesses that have been severely impacted to re-open safely to the public. They are intended to support the re-opening of the economy safely by providing the funds to enable the purchase of in-person covid-secure measures such as face masks, hand sanitiser, rigorous cleaning regimes of premises and equipment.
- Have been severely impacted by the local restrictions in place since 17 October 2020
- Not be eligible for a government Restart Grant
- Be businesses that deliver a direct in-person service to the public or businesses that are food or drink suppliers to a business, for example outside caterers
This scheme closed on 31 May 2021.
Grants are issued as a one-off lump sum payment in the following amounts:
