Earlier this year we launched the first stage of a review into the district’s parish arrangements, known as a Community Governance Review.
The first stage aimed to establish what issues residents and organisations wanted to be considered.
Following the receipt of a number of responses we have now published the Terms of Reference for the full district Community Governance Review.
Three proposals are suitable to be taken forward to the next stage of the process
- The creation of a parish council for Heysham
- The merging of Yealand Conyers and Yealand Redmayne Parish Councils
- The change of name of Thurnham Parish Council
To establish the views of the people of Heysham, city council staff will be undertaking a door to door visit of the area to record the views of residents and will be visiting properties up to Monday 28th May.
Any resident can have their say and details of how to submit your views can be found on page nine of the Terms of Reference document.
The deadline for submission of views is 31st May 2018. Please ensure you provide your full name and contact information with your comments.
