Community Safety
Everyone wants to feel safe at home and in their neighbourhood. Our teams work throughout Lancaster's social housing communities to prevent crime and tackle disruptive behavior. When neighbours act in ways that cause problems for others - through noise, harassment or other troubling behaviour - we step in quickly. We believe taking prompt action helps create stronger, more secure neighbourhoods.
We deliver a victim centred, trauma informed ASB service. Reports are triaged for harm and risk, and we agree an action plan with everyone involved. We use prevention and early intervention wherever possible, and legal enforcement where necessary and proportionate. We work closely with police and partners to resolve issues, and we publish performance and learning, including Community Trigger outcomes.
Working closely with the police and other local partners, we investigate residents' concerns and put effective safety measures in place. Your involvement in reporting issues helps us keep communities safe. For detailed advice about maintaining good relationships with neighbours, please read our Anti-Social Behaviour Handbook .
If you need to report an issue that does not involve council tenants, visit our main anti-social behaviour page to find the right support services.
