Prize draw and competition terms and conditions

1. The promoter of this competition is Lancaster City Council.
2. The closing date is stated on each individual prize draw or competition.
3. Only one entry per prize draw/competition, per household.
4. All prizes are subject to availability, and the promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative product of equal or higher value if necessary at the promoters' discretion.  
5. Prize draws and competitions are only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
6. The promotions are open to employees of Lancaster City Council - with the exception of any employees who are directly connected with the administration of these promotions.
7. Where the competition states that a winner will be selected at random, a winner will be selected from the list of entries/submissions after the closing date.
8. Where the competition is the submission of an entry – a drawing, a piece of writing or a photograph, it will be judged after the closing date by an independent judge from all entries received. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
9. Entries after the closing date will not be accepted.
10. Winner(s) will be notified by email or telephone (using the details provided at entry) within 6 weeks of the closing date. Following such notification, the winner will be required to send the Promoter full details of their postal address to which the Prize will be delivered (if applicable).
11. If the Promoter cannot: (i) contact the winner (via the details provided at the date of entry) within a reasonable period of time (to be established at the Promoter's sole discretion); or (ii) the winner does not return details of its postal address to the Promoter within 14 days of notification that they have won the Prize, the Promoter reserves the right to re-draw a winner of the Promotion and thereafter until a winner on these terms is found.
12. Please allow 28 days for delivery of the Prize. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for the Prize being lost, damaged or delayed in the post.
13. By entering any of the prize draws and competitions you agree to having your name  published in any promotional material.
14. By entering any of the competitions with submissions of photographs or videos, you agree to giving Lancaster City Council authority to use your image/video in promotional materials, including social media channels.
15. You are the sole copyright owner of any photographs/ videos submitted.
16. The council reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice if necessary, due to matters outside of the council's control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the council.
