Share your views on proposed day centre closure
Lancaster City Council is asking for people’s help to respond to proposals that could see the closure of Vale View day centre.

As part of its Adult Social Care Review, Lancashire County Council is looking at the future of its adult social care services, including five residential care homes and five day centres.
One of these, Vale View, is in Lancaster and the city council has been asked to submit a response to the consultation. But before doing so it wants to hear from local people about the impact the closure would have on the community.
The Council Business Committee will consider its response at its meeting on Thursday November 27 at Morecambe Town Hall, starting at 6pm.
Residents can send their views for its consideration by emailing democracy@lancaster.gov.uk. Alternatively, to submit a direct response to the consultation, visit www.lancashire.gov.uk/haveyoursay.
The consultation responses will be considered by Lancashire County Council before recommendations are presented in February 2026.
