NPLQ Lifeguard Course
Train to become a Lifeguard with the RLSS UK National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.

Requirements to Enrol on the Course:
Requirements to enrol on the course, candidates must be 16+ on the assessment date and at the end of the course be able to:
- Jump/dive into deep water and reach the deepest part of the pool (pool depth is 2 meters)
- Swim 50m in under 60 seconds
- Swim an100m continuously on front and back
- Tread water for 30 seconds
- Surface dive, and climb out of the pool unaided
All entry requirements will be checked on day one of the course to ensure suitability to progress.
Candidates need to set up an RLSS UK account before starting (instructions are included in the enrolment form).
100% attendance required.
Rookie Lifeguard Course
Monday 3rd August - Friday 7th August
09.15 - 10.00 or 10.15 - 11.00
Rookie Lifeguard is a fantastic way for your children to learn more about how to stay safe in and around water it will teach our rookie lifeguards a vast range of skills which are designed to make them more confident in the water.
The course is aimed at confident swimmers at stage 4 and above who can comfortably swim 25 metres.
£45 per child
Sport Rehabilitation Clinic
Working in partnership with University of Cumbria, we are delighted to be able to offer our customers access to an affordable Sport Rehabilitation Clinic right here at Salt Ayre. The clinic is run by 2nd and 3rd year University of Cumbria students, under qualified guidance, and offers sports massage as well as injury rehabilitation techniques and advice.
£17.50 per hour-long appointment
