Our Consultation Strategy highlights the value of consultation and sets out the relevant legislation that the council must adhere to. This is supported by internal consultation guidance and officer support and advice.

• Lancaster District Community Engagement Guidance -  This guidance has been developed to assist Lancaster district organisations and groups when planning and carrying out consultation and engagement in the district.  It has been tailored to Lancaster district needs and is built on a wealth of local and extended research, experience and best practice. 
• Consultation tools (Lancaster University Leapfrog Project) - simple tools for bringing people together, exchanging ideas and making stronger, more active communities 
• A guide to hosting effective community conversations - The Lancaster District Community Dialogue Project was a collaborative community engagement project which brought together anchor organisations from across the Lancaster and Morecambe District co-ordinated via Lancaster University. 
• The council consultation & engagement platform: Keep Connected - this is safe and trusted community space where you can get information and share your thoughts and ideas about local issues and initiatives through our live consultations and engagment platform.
